  1. Industrialization is a process of economic and social change which shifts the centres of economic activity onto the focus of work, wages and incomes. These changes took two forms in the Canadian case. First, economic activities shifted from agriculture to manufacturing, and second, from rural to urban. 
  2. the period of social and economic change that transforms a human group from an agragrian society into industrial one involving the extensive re-organisation of an economy for purpose of manufacturing.
  3. Large  introduction of manufacturing advanced technical enterprises and other productive economic activity into an area, society, country etc.
  4. Conversation to the methods, aims and ideals of industry and economic activity particulary of an area that was previously under developed economicaly
